La Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Scuola Nazionale di Cinema - Sede Piemonte ha indetto il bando di Concorso per l'ammissione al Corso di Animazione per il triennio 2012-2014.

Obiettivo del corso è la formazione di artisti e professionisti qualificati per la partecipazione alle fasi creative, progettuali e realizzative delle produzioni in animazione per diversi media.  Il percorso formativo è triennale prevede frequenza obbligatoria a tempo pieno per la partecipazione ai corsi teorico/pratici, seminari, laboratori,  esercitazioni filmate e saggi, ed eventuali esperienze professionalizzanti.

The objective of the three-year animation course is to train artists and professionals with a comprehensive knowledge of all stages of animation film-making, from creation and design to production, and with skills to work specifically in 2d and 3d character animation, storyboarding, character and background design, art direction, compositing, animation direction.  Learning is based on hands-on activities and on the development of both individual and team projects. Courses are taught by animation and film industry professionals and artists from Italy and abroad. Great emphasis is placed on animation as a tool for artistic expression and communication. Full- time attendance is required. The academic year runs from January to December. Annual fees are 1500 Euros.

           

Admission is by portfolio pre-selection, interview and entrance test and a preparatory seminar.  Requirements are talent, a good grounding in artistic and technical skills; a flair for storytelling through images; an understanding of film language and techniques, a passion for cinema and animation, strong motivation; good command of Italian and a good knowledge of English.

 

Qualifications  for admission are:

date of birth between January 1st, 1985 and December 31st, 1992;

Education: high school diploma or equivalent attained by 2011

Language: good command of Italian

 

Portfolio submission:

Application must be complete with cv and a portoflio that must show both the artistic potential of the applicant and life drawing ability. A flipbook and/or a showreel of live and/or animation film material  (max dur. 10'') are preferred.
