A scholar of Russian language and literature, in addition to her research and translation work, she specialises in Russian and Soviet cinema. A correspondent for the magazine Panoramiche, she works as a consultant and curator for international film retrospectives and festivals, and collaborates with the Muzej Kino in Moscow.
