Deciding to collaborate with the Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia means, first of all, to associate your name with the oldest and most prestigious Italian film institution and among the most appreciated in the world. Since 1935, entire generations of filmmakers, as well as the most illustrious representatives of our cinema, have been through its classrooms and its soundstages.

The aim has always been the development of the filmic and audiovisual art and technology at the level of excellence, through research, experimentation, production, the activity of high training, refinement and updating. All the projects are promoted and coordinated on the national territory.

With more than 120,000 films, the National Film Library, one of Europe’s most important film archives, preserves an invaluable (and gradually increasing) heritage. It’s constantly engaged in an intense activity of cultural restoration and diffusion to allow new generations of spectators to continue to see Italian films on the cinema and allow researchers and critics to deepen the history of cinema , reviewing the classics, discovering new authors and revisiting technical and creative expressions in the restoration of Italian cinema. It also preserves about 50,000 pieces including posters, vintage trailers on paper, posters and a collection, partly computerized, of more than one and a half million photographs.
