The new volume of the series “Quaderni della Biblioteca Luigi Chiarini” is dedicated to the world of U.S. magazines known as Fan Magazines. Magazines too often underestimated for their popular character, considered secondary from the point of view of the editorial production about cinema, and today considered valuable because of the complex interconnections with the Star System and the cultural production of the time. The extensive collection owned by the Library is a unique case in Italy and rare abroad , it is in fact made up of over seven hundred numbers that cover the entire span of publication of this kind of magazines, from the ’10s to the ’60s.
