made his debut with 'Domani Accadrà', produced by Nanni Moretti and Angelo Barbagallo’s Sacher Film. Film director and occasionally theatre and ad-film director, he is known both in Italy and abroad for his 'Il Portaborse', 'La Scuola', 'Mio fratello è figlio unico', 'La Nostra Vita', 'Anni felici', 'Dillo con parole mie', and the TV mini-series 'Chiamatemi Francesco', distributed abroad on Netflix Original. His latest works are 'Io sono tempesta'  and 'Momenti di trascurabile felicità', this last based on the homonymous novel by Francesco Piccolo. Luchetti has received several awards and has been invited to many international festivals, such as Cannes, Toronto, Locarno, Tokyo and Venice. Among the producers he worked with, in addition to the aforementioned Sacher Film, there are Filmmaster, Cecchi Gori and Cattleya. Among his working partners there are Stefano Rulli, Sandro Petraglia, Domenico Starnone and Francesco Piccolo. His movies have been recognized nationally and internationally. 'La Nostra vita' was awarded with the Palme d'or to Elio Germano as best actor. Both as director or screenwriter, Luchetti was awarded with five David di Donatello, two Globi d’Oro, two IOMA, a Nastro d’Argento and several other international awards.
