The school offers to young talents technical training and artistic education in the different professions of Animation. The didactic aims to provide a wide knowledge in the artistic and productive process, other than the specific competences to successfully enter the Italian and international job market.

Education, research and experimentation

The program provides a three-year curriculum focused on hands-on learning and project development. Its goal is to train professionals for the animation industry, which is characterized by long and complex production cycles, the need for numerous specialized roles, and significant financial investments. The course offers a solid foundation in the entire animation filmmaking process within an environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and creative talent development. A strong emphasis is placed on animation as a medium for expression, communication, and experimentation, beyond its definition as a “genre.”

Teachers are industry professionals and artists, ensuring constant engagement with market trends. In this full-time program, students participate in individual and group exercises and projects. They also work on short social communication projects commissioned by institutions and organizations such as the Turin Chamber of Commerce, Fondazione 1564, Associazione Italiana Leucemie, Banco Alimentare del Piemonte, OGR, Polo del ‘900, Turismo Torino, and the Piedmont Region. The third year is dedicated to the team production of diploma short films, based on original concepts developed by the students.

Cultural initiatives and collaborations

The school is also actively involved in cultural initiatives and collaborations with national, regional, and international institutions and associations. It organizes screenings, retrospectives, and workshops, often with the participation of its students. Every year, CSC Animation presents its diploma films and other productions to the public during the Graduation Ceremony in Turin, in collaboration with the National Cinema Museum. The school also promotes students’ work at major international animation and film festivals. Recent awards include: Cristal d’Annecy and Young Animation Award Stuttgart, awarded by the two most prestigious animation festivals worldwide; Semi-Finalist at the Student Academy Awards (Oscars); Global University Film Award for Animation, Hong Kong; “Corto d’Argento” from the National Union of Italian Film Journalists.
