The Set Design course is dedicated to young talents interested in cinema set design planning.
The program aims at providing the future set designers with all technical, theoretical and applicative skills as well as fostering their imagination and creativity. The three-year course focuses on workshops and will be in a constant interaction with the other didactic areas of the school. During workshops and short films development, students are asked to interpretate narrative needs arising from screenplays and give shape to directors-in-training’s creative requests, forging the scenic space where the story will take place.
In addition to the traditional teaching modules, the educational offer can count on storyboarding, visual effects and tv set design lectures.
During the third year, students have the opportunity to work as interns on Italian film sets. Knowledge and skills gained will set graduates up for success – not only in cinematography but also in interior design field, on video and photography sets, in preparation of exhibits, events, concerts, contemporary art installations and any other creative context in which the emotional space acquires expressive and communicative purposes.
