February 28 through March 3, 2023, Los Angeles hosts Filming Italy - Los Angeles #8. With the official recognition of the Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, the event was created and set up by Tiziana Rocca, Agnus Dei, and the Italian Cultural Institute LA. Filming Italy - Los Angeles promotes the dissemination of Italian culture by way of its cinema and the internationalisation of Italian audio-visual products.

This year’s programme introduces a new section, CLASSIC, in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, dedicated to restored great classics. Vittorio De Sica’s Doorway to Heaven (1945) will screen on March 1^st. Its restoration was carried out by CSC – Cineteca Nazionale and Associazione Officina Cultura e Territorio in collaboration with Azione Cattolica Italiana, and promoted by UniNettuno CAST with the support of ISACEM. Another two classics restored by CSC – Cineteca Nazionale will be presented on March 2: Carlo Di Palma’s Teresa the Thief and Luciano Salce’s Crazy Desire.
